Everton have not won any of their last five matches in all competitions; the latest a 2-1 defeat to Burnley at the weekend.
Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has said the club will try to rectify their recent winless run of form when they face West Ham United next weekend, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The Toffees are currently on a run without a win in their last five games in all competitions but remain handily placed in the Premier League table in sixth place.
In that time they were dumped out of the EFL Cup by Norwich City, suffered defeats in the Premier League at the hands of Bournemouth and Burnley and drawn with both Crystal Palace and Manchester City.
After their defeat to Burnley at the weekend, Bolasie is quoted in the Liverpool Echo, saying: “It is only when I came in after the game that I realised it was five games without a win so we go into Sunday’s game with West Ham trying to rectify that.”
Everton initially came flying out of the traps. Following their opening day draw against Tottenham they managed to string together four consecutive league wins but since their victory over Middlesbrough in mid-September they have failed to register a win.
On Sunday they will face a West Ham United side that struggled at the start of the season but have dug out two consecutive 1-0 wins to move themselves three points clear of the relegation zone.
One thing Everton do have this week in order to prepare for their clash with the Hammers is no distractions while West Ham have an EFL Cup game against Chelsea. Although the Toffees would like to still be in the competition and have that avenue to silverware open to them, they have to use whatever free time their opponents do not have to their advantage.
They have shown on several occasions they have what it takes to be a competitive side this season, but they need to get back to the winning ways they were showing earlier on in the campaign.
