Everton are expecting Porto forward Yacine Brahimi to arrive on Merseyside for a medical, according to the Daily Mirror.

They report that manager Ronald Koeman is prepared to pay in excess of £25 million for the Algerian, and with add-ons he could become the most expensive signing in Everton’s history – totalling £35 million.

Arsenal were also said to be interested, but Everton are confident they have won the race for the player’s signature.

Wilshere’s representatives agree terms with Roma

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere looks to heading out on loan and BBC Sport reported at 13:12 on their deadline day blog, that his representatives have agreed the terms of a loan deal with Serie A side Roma.

However, the deal is not done just yet but the player is thought to be ‘enthusiastic’ about the move, and a loan fee and terms still have to suit Arsenal.

Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are both said to have shown interest, and are yet to receive an update.

Stoke City sign Wilfried Bony on loan from Manchester City

Stoke City have announced the signing of Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony on a season-long loan deal.

Potters boss Mark Hughes told the official Stoke City website: “Bringing Wilfried in was a no-brainer for us to be perfectly honest, because he knows the Premier League and has scored plenty of goals at this level.

“He has power, speed and very good physical attributes which will undoubtedly help us, and his technical and finishing skills are outstanding too.”

Bony joined Manchester City in January last year in a £28 million deal from Swansea City.
