Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur drew with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur will not win the Champions League this season.

The former Arsenal striker made the prediction following Tottenham’s draw with Real Madrid on Tuesday evening.

Spurs played out a 1-1 draw with the defending European champions in the Champions League game at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The performance of Mauricio Pochettino’s side was very encouraging, but Arsenal legend Wright does not think that Tottenham can win the Champions League this season.

“No, no,” said Wright when asked on Sky Sports if Tottenham can win the Champions League this season.

Tottenham have a very strong team, and their performance against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday evening underlines their ability to match against the best of teams.

While it would not be wise to predict at this stage of the season to suggest that Spurs can go all the way, stranger things have happened in football.

Once Spurs get into the knockout stages of the Champions League, the North London outfit will be confident of getting the better of any opposition over two legs.
