Would Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window?

Butland is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and could develop into a world-class player in the coming years.
The 24-year-old has been on the books of Stoke since January 2013 when he joined from Birmingham City for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4 million.

There have been injury concerns for the England international during his time at the Potters, but there is no doubt that Butland is a superb goalkeeper when he is fully fit.
The former Birmingham City goalkeeper is good enough to play for Tottenham, but ex-Arsenal striker Wright does not think that he will join the North London outfit anytime soon, as he will be the second choice between the posts.

France international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is the first-choice goalkeeper at Spurs at the moment and is one of the best in his position in the world.
“You won’t get Jack Butland as a number two,” said Wright on BBC Radio 5live 606 on Sunday evening (August 20, 2018) when asked by a Tottenham fan about Spurs trying for Butland to give Lloris competition. “He is a number one.”
