Tottenham Hotspur will move into their new stadium on Wednesday night when they take on Crystal Palace.

Ian Wright has warned in a blunt manner that Tottenham’s new stadium alone won’t give them the power to attract new players during the transfer window.
The London club will officially move into their new surroundings on Wednesday night when they take on Crystal Palace as they bid to address their recent bad run of form.
At this moment in time, Spurs are sitting fourth in the Premier League table and four defeats in five matches has resulted in their neighbour’s Arsenal overtaking them in the table.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (01/04/2019 at 7:20 pm), former Gunners striker Wright made it clear that Tottenham need Champions League football on top of their new stadium in order to attract the big stars this summer.
“Spurs would suffer the most in not being in the top four,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live. “The fact that they didn’t make the signings [last summer & in January]. Finishing in the top four for Spurs is a must with the new stadium. You can’t be going into the new stadium without Champions League football.
“I know the stadium has cost double, apparently. You got to then think, is there going to be money for signings? If there isn’t money for signings and you don’t make the top four then you have to say to yourself ‘are they going to attract people with just the stadium and the fact that they have done well in the last couple of years’?
“I think it’s imperative that they finish in the top four to consolidate everything they are trying to do. If you’re a striker are you going there [without Champions League football]? The stadium on its own is not going to attract them.”

A defeat against Palace would without a doubt be the biggest blow to Spurs’ season because of everything that is surrounding the fixture.
But if they can manage to pick up three points then it will give them the boost to finish off the campaign in the best possible manner.
The one positive for Mauricio Pochettino’s side is that the majority of their remaining matches will be played on home soil, including against already-relegated Huddersfield and Manchester City (both in the Champions League and the PL).
