The 23-year-old has only started two Premier League games for Arsenal.

Ian Wright has told The Sun that Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka could be a future captain of the club.
The 23-year-old joined Arsenal in a £35 million move (according to The Mail) from Borussia Monchengladbach early in the transfer window.
But manager Arsene Wenger has used the Switzerland international sparingly so far, with Xhaka only starting two of Arsenal’s five Premier League games.

He did, however, score his first goal for the club on Saturday by adding a superb fourth in Saturday’s 4-1 win at Hull City.
It is early days for big midfielder, but Arsenal icon Wright loves what he sees so far and believes he could even captain the North London giants one day.
“What’s got to happen is, for me, Xhaka, the way he plays, is going to have an impact on the team [when he is integrated into the first XI],” he told The Sun.
“The way he is, I’m telling you – that guy has the capabilities, from what I’ve seen of him, to be a future captain of the football club.”

Leadership is a big, big thing for Arsenal and a lack of it could be why they have failed to win a Premier League title since Patrick Vieira’s time with the armband in 2004.
Since then, Thierry Henry, William Gallas, Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie, Mikel Arteta, and most recently Per Mertesacker, have been given the captaincy, but it has not been enough to end the club’s now-infamous title drought.
