Ian Wright has said on The Kelly & Wrighty Show that Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa should sign Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The Arsenal legend believes that Brighton midfielder Bissouma would make Villa a better and more competent team in the middle of the team.
The BBC Sport pundit described Bissouma as “sensational” on Wrighty’s House Podcast in August 2021.
Wright said on The Kelly & Wrighty Show: “I mentioned Bissouma. I would get that kind of player.”

In our opinion, Bissouma would make Villa a better team in the middle of the park and would make Gerrard’s side more competent.
The 25-year-old is a brilliant midfielder who can hold his own in the middle of the park and can also drive the team forward.
The Mali international has scored one goal and given one assist in 22 Premier League starts this season.
Yes, Brighton are an established club in the Premier League, but Villa are hugely ambitious and a move to Villa Park and working with Liverpool legend Gerrard could appear to Bissouma.
Interestingly, The Telegraph reported last month that Villa manager Gerrard has identified Bissouma as a potential target in the summer transfer window.
