The Celtic manager spent three and a half years at Everton’s rivals Liverpool.

Ian Wright has expressed his surprise that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has not been mentioned in connection with the Everton manager’s job.
Sky Sports reported on Monday that Everton have resumed talks with Sam Allardyce, and the former England boss is now odds-on favourite to succeed Ronald Koeman more than a month after the Dutchman’s sacking.
Everton are said to have considered a number of candidates, including Premier League managers Marco Silva and Sean Dyche, but their search has continued to prove fruitless.

And speaking to 5 live’s Football Daily on Monday, former Celtic striker Wright said when discussing Everton’s situation: “What about Brendan Rodgers? I’m surprised that Brendan Rodgers’ name has not been thrown in there as well.”
Rodgers previously spent three and a half years in charge of Everton’s rivals Liverpool, but has led Celtic to four trophies in 18 months since moving to Parkhead.

The Bhoys are also 65 domestic games unbeaten – all but one of which was overseen by Rodgers – and could progress to the Europa League’s latter stages for only the second time in five seasons.
Should Everton have considered the Celtic manager as Koeman’s replacement?
