Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur will face Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend.
The Arsenal legend, though, believes that Spurs will overcome the Cherries away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The former England international striker has also backed Spurs star Harry Kane to score the opening goal against Bournemouth.
The 24-year-old England international striker has scored 24 goals in the Premier League so far this season.
Wright told The Sun: “No offence to anyone on the south coast but Bournemouth away is a massive come down from a Champions League clash with Juventus in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
“It won’t be easy to get up for a trip to the Vitality Stadium for a game in front of 12,000 fans but that’s the task that faces Tottenham and this is when we’ll see what they are made of.”
“I fancy Bournemouth to give it a really good go and they won’t get whopped like they have done in the past,” added Wright.
“The 18/1 on a 3-2 away win certainly tempts and while he drew a blank midweek you can’t look past Harry Kane in the Premier League and even at 5/2 he looks great value to open the scoring.”
Win for Tottenham Hotspur
Bournemouth will not make it easy for Spurs, especially as they are at home, but it is hard to see the North London outfit dropping all three points at the Vitality Stadium.
True, Spurs lost to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, but the North London outfit have much better players than Bournemouth do.
Tottenham could concede a goal, but they have more than enough quality in their attacking unit to score two or three goals with ease against Bournemouth.
