The Liverpool ace could fit in perfectly at Tottenham Hotspur, according to Ian Wright.

Ian Wright, former Arsenal player, speaks during a Q&A at the Barclays office during the Barclays Asia Trophy 2015 Ticket Launch day 2 on May 13, 2015 in Singapore.

Ian Wright told BBC Radio Five Live how Spurs would be a good place for Reds ace Daniel Sturridge to rediscover his best form, with the striker hardly getting a look in at Anfield.

The 28-year-old hitman’s career has been ravaged by injuries, and he is obviously not fancied by Jürgen Klopp, having made just 12 Premier League starts from Liverpool’s last 56 games.

He still has a lot to offer at the very highest level, however, and if he manages to stay fit for a prolonged period of time, he could be a very useful addition to most sides in the top half of the table.

Wright for one, agrees with that notion.

The 54-year-old told BBC Radio Five Live how the former Chelsea and Manchester City forward needs something to happen in his career, and that a switch to Tottenham could provide him with the spark he needs:

Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge (R) is congratulated by teammate Harry Wilson after his first goal against Sydney FC during their end-of-season friendly football match at the Olympic Stadium...

“Sturridge needs something to happen [and] Spurs wouldn’t be a bad move for him.”

Despite Wright’s suggestion, it is hard to imagine a manager with Mauricio Pochettino’s insistence on such a high tempo press signing someone with Sturridge’s less than impressive injury record.

With the January transfer window just around the corner, however, this will certainly be one for both Liverpool and Tottenham fans to keep an eye on.
