Ian Wright suggests Marco Silva’s Everton as a potential destination for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Marcus Rashford of Man Utd looks dejected during the Premier League match between Burnley and Manchester United at Turf Moor on September 2, 2018 in Burnley, England.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright said on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (8:50pm, September 3, 2018) that Everton would be a good club for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

While discussing the future of Rashford, former Arsenal striker Wright suggested Everton, and predicted that the 20-year-old forward would score 15 to 20 goals for Marco Silva’s side.

Wright said about Rashford on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (8:50pm, September 3, 2018): “If he went to somewhere like Everton, at Everton right now, things are happening, something’s happening there, and it’s the kind of club that has got the fanbase and the manager.

“If he went there and he was able to stay down the centre, I guarantee you the guy scores 15, 20 goals a season. No problem.”

Good suggestion

Rashford is a hugely talented and promising young forward, and there is no doubt that the 20-year-old can score goals regularly.

The problem that the youngster – who earns £50,000 per week as salary, according to The Daily Star – is facing at United is that there is competition for places in Jose Mourinho’s side.

Moreover, United manager Mourinho does not always deploy Rashford upfront and uses him out wide.

Everton do have Cenk Tosun as their centre-forward, but Rashford would make manager Silva’s team much better.

However, for Rashford, it would be a step down to leave United for Everton, although if the youngster wants to play regularly and progress as a footballer, then he may have to consider leaving Old Trafford, at least on loan, either in the January transfer window or next summer.
