Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool from Arsenal on transfer deadline day.

Oxlade-Chamberlain moved to Liverpool from Premier League rivals Arsenal on transfer deadline day.
According to BBC Sport, the Reds had to pay the Gunners a transfer fee of £35 million in order to secure the services of the England international.

It has been reported that the 24-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a central midfielder, turned down Premier League champions Chelsea before his move to Liverpool.
According to The Independent, Oxlade-Chamberlain is desperate to play as a central midfielder both for Liverpool and for the England national football team.

Former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker Wright, though, has suggested that the ex-Southampton man may have to play on the right due to competition for places in the Liverpool central midfield.
Wright said on ITV last Friday evening (September 1, 2017) during the post-match coverage of the World Cup qualifier between Malta and England when asked if Oxlade-Chamberlain could play in central midfield at Liverpool: “Well, I think Georginio Wijnaldum has started brilliantly, Henderson is going to be hard to ship out, both of them are going to be hard, and Can has done brilliantly well, so you look at it and you think which one of those three is he going to dislodge? He probably might have to play on the right.”
