Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has joined Stoke City on loan, but Ian Wright is surprised Crystal Palace didn’t move.
Zouma has moved on loan to Stoke City for the season, and his arrival should strengthen Mark Hughes’ side backline.
Wright though, is shocked that Palace didn’t move for Zouma as a potential replacement for Mamadou Sakho, who they had on loan from Liverpool last term.

“I was very surprised that they let Kurt Zouma go up to Stoke and didn’t try to hijack that deal, especially without Mamadou Sakho,” the former Palace striker said.
Sakho was in fine form during his spell with Palace last season, and finding a replacement for the powerful defender will be tough.
Zouma has previously proven his class at Premier League level for Chelsea, but he is working his way back from a severe injury.
Palace will be hoping that they have enough defensive quality to impress over the season ahead.
Palace have brought Frank de Boer to Selhurst Park over the summer, and are expected to utilise a more attacking style of football.
Palace kick their season off with a match against newly promoted Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
