Ian Wright has taken to Twitter to react after a fascinating statistic emerged, as Bukayo Saka put Arsenal 1-0 up against Manchester City.

What’s the story?

Well, as a result of Saka’s goal, the 20-year-old now has ten goal involvements in the Premier League this season.

The Arsenal No.7 has netted six goals, while also providing four assists.

It comes after Emile Smith Rowe reached ten Premier League goal involvements of his own against Norwich on Boxing Day.

Impressively, the 21-year-old has scored eight goals while also registering two assists in the Premier League this term.

Amazingly, it’s the first time Arsenal have had two Englishman reach double figures for Premier League goal involvements since Paul Merson and Wright did so in 1996/17.

You can see what Wright thought of the statistic below.

Under Mikel Arteta, Saka and Smith Rowe seem to be enjoying breakthrough seasons at the same time, which should worry Arsenal’s Premier League rivals.

Sky is the limit for Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe at Arsenal

We’ve only just entered January, and Arsenal’s wonderkids are on fire.

In truth, they’d both probably have taken ten goal involvements at the start of the season if they were offered it.

Now, however, the sky is the limit.

The Gunners are flying, and there’s no reason why Saka and Smith Rowe can’t continue to record goal involvements on a weekly basis.

Arteta’s system is a fluid one, in which Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Ødegaard will help to create plenty of chances for the Hale End graduates.

Whatever happens, the Emirates Stadium faithful should be seriously excited – the future is blindingly bright.
