Leeds United have taken Eddie Nketiah on loan from Arsenal, but the forward still is yet to start a league game.

Ian Wright has echoed the thoughts of most Leeds United fans, after he simply tweeted ‘start him’ to Phil Hay about Eddie Nketiah.

Nketiah still has not made a league start for Leeds since he joined on loaned, but he was Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s saviour last night.

The Whites came from behind to claim a point against Preston, with Nketiah coming off the bench to score a late winner.

The Arsenal loanee’s goal means that he now has scored more often than usual starter Patrick Bamford this season.

And Wright now thinks that the time has come for Leeds to utilise Nketiah more often.

Nketiah looks to be a far more natural finisher than Bamford, who is struggling to find the net at the moment.

Bielsa is a major fan of the former Middlesbrough man, but his place in the team surely must be under threat now.

Nketiah has regularly made an impact off the substitutes’ bench, and it is getting to the point where he can surely be ignored no longer.

Leeds are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
