Bournemouth defender Simon Francis suffered a serious injury against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Wednesday.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has taken to Twitter to send a message to Bournemouth defender Simon Francis following the injury he suffered against Tottenham Hotspur.
Francis ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Bournemouth’s 5-0 defeat to Tottenham away from home at Wembley Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
The 33-year-old defender suffered the serious injury just before half time during the game, as he twisted trying to challenge Tottenham Hotspur ace Son Heung-min.
As announced on Bournemouth’s official website, Francis will be on the sidelines for between six and ninth matches.
Former Arsenal striker Wright has sent a message to Bournemouth midfielder Francis on Twitter.
Bournemouth are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with 26 points from 19 matches.

The Cherries are 14 points above the relegation zone, and it does look like they are safe from going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Eddie Howe’s side will face Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
