Arsenal stopped the rot with a brilliant 3-1 win at home to Chelsea tonight.
The Gunners had been without a Premier League victory since winning at Manchester United way back on November 1.
And despite having their most senior players either absent or on the bench, Arsenal, who were without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian and David Luiz, managed to put the Blues to the sword with a brilliant performance this evening.
Goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Granit Xhaka gave the North Londoners a 2-0 lead at the break, before Bukayo Saka – man of the match – made it 3-0 in the second half.
Tammy Abraham pulled one back late on, but it was a mere consolation and Arsenal wouldn’t be denied.
Here’s how Ian Wright reacted to the win on Twitter, as the legendary goalscorer posted a gif of Snoop Dogg looking thankful.
Although not on the scoresheet, another player who was superb was 19-year-old Gabriel Martinelli, playing ahead of the absent Willian.
In 70 odd minutes, the Brazilian youngster managed to do more than Willian has done virtually season.
There was a real buzz about Martinelli and even when Willian is available again, there’ll be uproar if Mikel Arteta – whose side are now 14th in the Premier League table – brings him back immediately.
