Ian Wright has reacted on Twitter as Arsenal thrashed Slavia Prague on Thursday night to set up a reunion with Unai Emery in the Europa League.

Arsenal won 4-0 in the Czech Republic to cruise into the semi-final of the competition with a 5-1 aggregate victory.

The Gunners were slight underdogs prior to kick off after Slavia secured a 1-1 draw – and an away goal – at the Emirates Stadium eight days ago.

But Mikel Arteta’s side were ruthless last night and here’s how Arsenal icon Wright reacted to the win on Twitter:

Interestingly, the North Londoners have set up a semi-final tie with Villarreal who, of course, are coached by Emery.

Arsenal fired the Spaniard in November of 2019 and hired Arteta some weeks later.

Emery guided the Emirates Stadium club into the final of this competition in his first and last full season during the 2018-19 campaign, but Chelsea wound up winning.

The former Sevilla coach has won the Europa League on three separate occasions and his know-how in this tournament could be difficult for Arteta, who only has 18 months of senior managerial experience under his belt.
