
Ian Wright said on BBC One on Saturday evening (7:25pm, January 9, 2021) that Arsenal duo Nicolas Pepe and Willian did not play well against Newcastle United.
The Arsenal legend made the comments about wingers Pepe and Willian at the end of the 90 minutes of the FA Cup third-round tie between the Gunners and Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Saturday evening.
It finished goalless after normal time, and Mikel Arteta’s side scored twice in extra time to win the tie 2-0.
Wright said on BBC One on Saturday evening (7:25pm, January 9, 2021): “Very, very poor from him today (Pepe). Same with Willian. These are two players we needed a lot from, and we are just not getting it, to be honest.”

Pepe and Willian shared the corner duties, and although the former tried his lucks with shots, overall the two wingers had yet another disappointing game.
