Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been previewing the north London derby, and inevitably, he ended up speaking about Harry Kane.

Now, it’s no secret that Kane hasn’t had the best of starts to this Premier League season.

Last year’s Golden Boot winner is yet to find the back of the net in the league, but Wright feels there’s a sense of inevitability about Kane scoring this weekend.

Indeed, Wright says that Kane is in the same mould as Didier Drogba in that he’s almost always guaranteed a goal against Arsenal.

What’s been said?

Wright was discussing the north London derby.

“That’s the one thing, if they get going again, and you know that we have to give Harry Kane a goal. He’s the Drogba,” Wright said.

“That’s the problem right, if he gets the goal and him and Son go ‘hey, remember what we did last season, shall we start doing that again?” Wright’s co-host said.

Big threat

Yes, Kane may be in a bit of a rut at the moment, but Arsenal would be fools to underestimate him, especially in a game like this.

The England captain is one of the deadliest strikers in the world, and when he’s up for it he’s simply unplayable.

Kane has a stupendous record against Arsenal, and it wouldn’t surprise us one bit if he exploded into life as soon as he steps onto the pitch against Mikel Arteta’s side.

Didier Drogba used to be Arsenal’s number one tormentor, but nowadays, it’s Kane.
