Dele Alli’s form for Tottenham Hotspur has been questioned this season.

Ian Wright has suggested that he is more ‘worried’ about the form of Christian Eriksen rather than his Tottenham teammate Dele Alli.

Both attack-minded duo have come under criticism this season as they are fighting to regain some form after some early season troubles.

They started Tottenham’s defeat at Anfield last time out, and they are in Merseyside once again, as they take on Everton at Goodison Park.

Ahead of that match, former Premier League striker Wright believes whilst Alli is very important to Tottenham’s future, more of his worry does seemingly fall into Eriksen’s path.

“Dele is the kind of person, and you look at Christian Eriksen there [against Liverpool] and it was poor from his point of view with the player of his calibre, but with Dele is the type of person who can play himself into [form],” said Wright, as posted by The Football Report.

“He’s been out for a little while, in respect of injury and form, but he’s somebody, like we saw against Watford, he can come up with that goal. All you need is a couple of performances, you knick a couple of those goals and you start getting your confidence back.

“I’m not worried for Dele as I am for Eriksen because Eriksen, obviously, just wants to get out of there. Dele is somebody that needs to get going because Tottenham genuinely need him, for now, and the years to come.”

As mentioned above, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino opted to start both of them during Tottenham’s last Premier League fixture, as he has a big decision to make as to whether he sticks with them again.

Given that Eriksen has been in and out of Pochettino’s starting XI this term, it won’t be a surprise if he is dropped to the bench once again.

Defeat against Everton on Sunday afternoon will see Spurs, who are already sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table, tumble further down.
