Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur did well to play out a 2-2 draw with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal headed into the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday as favourites.

After all, the Gunners had home advantage and also had the better players.

However, Tottenham competed well against Arsenal and deservedly picked up a 2-2 draw.

Spurs had to come from behind twice to earn a point.

While outfield players such as James Maddison and Son Heung-min have been praised widely, one player who has gone under the radar is Guglielmo Vicario.

Vicario joined Tottenham in the summer transfer window and has established himself as the number one goalkeeper between the posts.

The 26-year-old is a very calm presence between the sticks and has made some important saves this season.

And he was back at it against Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday.

The Italian was forced into making early saves from Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

And then in injury time, he denied Bukayo Saka.

It was a very impressive performance from Vicario, who also spread the ball out well from the back.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright was impressed by Vicario’s performance.

The pundit has praised the Tottenham goalkeeper on Match of the Day 2 on BBC One.

Wright said: “Vicario, I thought, had a very good game, very competent.”
