Ian Wright has a lot of time for the Liverpool midfielder it seems.

Speaking on ITV Sport, Arsenal legend Ian Wright has admitted that he really likes Liverpool and Wales midfielder Joe Allen.
The 26-year-old has started all three of Wales’ Euro 2016 outings so far as wins over Slovakia and Russia helped Chris Coleman’s side reach the knockout phase of a major competition for the first time ever this summer.
Allen has looked impressive, but then again few Liverpool fans will be surprised to see the former Swansea City man excel following his wonderful resurgence at club level under Jurgen Klopp last season, the German really having a positive impact on him.
The Welsh hammered Russia 3-0 in their final Group B game to seal their progression, and the former striker praised the country’s performances, but singled out Allen as a player he has a soft spot for.

“We saw a Wales team that can play, Joe Allen, who I really like, you saw Gareth Bale nicking his goal,” he said on ITV Sport.
“And you see Aaron Ramsey getting forward and doing his stuff. They deserve to be where they are.”
Despite Allen’s vast improvement under Klopp, it remains to be seen where his future lies.
His contract on Merseyside expires in 2017, but former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who brought him to Anfield, said he might want him at Celtic with him for next season, he said via Goal.com.
