Manchester United climbed to fifth place in the Premier League this weekend but Ian Wright believes Tottenham Hotspur are the big winners from the latest round of matches.
United moved up from sixth place for the first time since October, with Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal all failing to record wins.
Asked on BBC Radio 5 Live’s 606 on Sunday night if United were the weekend’s big winners, Wright responded that he felt it was Tottenham instead, who also profited from their rivals slip ups.
Spurs won 2-1 at home to Southampton, stretching their unbeaten home record this season.
Wright said: “It’s even better for Tottenham. It takes them even further away without Harry Kane.
“Every game win without Harry Kane, when he comes back it’ll be a massive bonus.”
Kane was injured last weekend in the FA Cup against Millwall and is expected to face a month on the sidelines.

Spurs are currently second in the Premier League, but remain 10 points behind Chelsea who won 2-1 away at Stoke City at the weekend as Antonio Conte’s side continue to grind out results.
They are nine points ahead of rivals Arsenal who have played one game fewer, and three points clear of fourth placed Liverpool who have played a game more.
