Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi is not worth £50 million.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal are interested in signing Mustafi from Valencia before the end of the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Spanish club want as much as £50 million in order to part company with the 24-year-old centre-back.

Former Arsenal striker Wright has suggested on Twitter that the Germany international is not worth £50m.

This is what Wright wrote on Twitter while responding to the report that Valencia want £50m for Mustafa: “taking the p**s 50 million for a player no one else is fighting us for !”

Mustafi has been on the books of Valencia since the summer of 2014 and has established himself as one of the better centre-backs in Spain.

The 24-year-old scored two goals and created four chances in 30 La Liga appearances for Los Che last season, according to Squawka.com.

The German centre-back had a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 24%, and won 87 headers, seven dribbles and 51 tackles, according to Squawka.com.
