Arsenal thoroughly deserved to lose to Crystal Palace today.

Arsenal missed out on the chance to jump up to third spot in the Premier League table today, losing at home to Crystal Palace, and Ian Wright took to Twitter, lamenting his former side’s display.

The Gunners trailed early through a Christian Benteke strike, but Mesut Ozil levelled the scores after the break.

The Eagles retook the lead after 61 minutes, however, after a howler from Shkodran Mustafi, and they then doubled their lead eight minutes later from a James McArthur strike.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled one back for Unai Emery’s side but it was too little too late.

Arsenal were never really at the races, and they deserved to lose in fairness.

They will have to pick themselves up quickly if they are to finish inside the top four, with a tricky trip to Wolves next up on the agenda on Wednesday night.
