Ian Wright has predicted in The Sun that Tottenham Hotspur will win against Southampton in the Premier League this weekend.

Arsenal legend Wright has backed Tottenham to pick up all three points from the encounter against the Saints at St. Mary’s Stadium courtesy of a 3-1 win.

The former Arsenal striker has also backed England international striker Harry Kane to score the opening goal of the game.

Wright has spoken highly of Tottenham attacker Son Heung-min, who has been in great form this season.

The 25-year-old South Korea international, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 16 Premier League starts for Spurs so far this season.

Son has been on the books of Tottenham since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Bayer Leverkusen for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £22 million.

Wright wrote in The Sun: “Son Hueng-Min is a big part of everything that’s going well at Spurs this season. He does the dirty work, dropping deep, stretching the defence, pushing out wide and scoring goals.

“Having said that, Harry Kane remains the main man and I can’t even consider anyone else to score first when he’s on the pitch so he’s my choice again this week at 5/2.”

“I’ll give Saints a goal at they are at home but I can easily see this ending 3-1 to the visitors; not a bad selection at 10/1,” added Wright.

Southampton are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment, and it is hard to see the Saints win against Tottenham even at home.

Spurs have a much better team than Southampton do, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side should be able to pick up all three points from the game with ease.
