West Ham United will face Huddersfield Town in the Premier League this afternoon.
The former Arsenal and West Ham striker believes that David Moyes’s side will pick up all three points from their encounter away from home at the Kirklees Stadium.
The former England international has also backed Marko Arnautovic to score the opening goal of the match.
Arnautovic has scored five goals and provided one assist in 14 Premier League starts for the Hammers so far this season.
The 28-year-old Austria international, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, joined West Ham from Premier League rivals Stoke City in the summer of 2017 for an transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £20 million.
Wright wrote in The Sun: “With the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini in the team I think the Irons have a recipe to hit Huddersfield on the break with some success.
“I can see West Ham winning this one 2-0 at 10/1 and I fancy Arnautovic to continue his away run.
“The Austrian has scored in his last road trips and one more will see him equal a Hammers record. He’s my pick for first goal scorer at 13/2.”
Meanwhile, West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has admitted that the club are struggling to attract players of the highest quality.
The Hammers have signed some very good players in recent years, such as striker Javier Hernandez, but the London club have not attracted the very top footballers.
Brady wrote in the Sun: “One problem for a team in our position is that to attract the highest-calibre players, we need the promise of big things to come.
“It’s a promise we intend to keep — but, for today, we shall have to delay being Barcelona.”
