Newcastle United will face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League this weekend.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has predicted in The Sun that Newcastle United will lose against Manchester United this weekend.

Newcastle will take on United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Former Arsenal striker Wright has backed the Red Devils to pick up all three points from the encounter.

The Englishman does not seem to give Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle any chance against Jose Mourinho’s side at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho, Manager of Manchester United looks on prior to the Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on November 5, 2017 in London, England.

“I hear Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are back in training this week and while I don’t expect either of them to feature here that news in itself will provide a morale boost for a United side that has been battling through in their absence,” Wright wrote in The Sun.

“The Red Devils have lost just one of their last 32 league games against the Magpies and I’m afraid this one is a forgone conclusion.”

“Lukaku’s goals stats are taking a hammering at the moment but I don’t think it’s a major concern,” added Wright.

“In the first few games of the season he showed that if you give him the chances he’ll put them away. It’s the chances that have dried up, not his ability to stick the ball in the net.

“I’d like to see him play through the middle and stay there this weekend. If he does that I can see him getting a hat-trick.

“I’m going to go with a 3-0 win for United at 9/1 and Lukaku as the man to get the ball rolling at a top price 12/5 with Sun Bets.”

United have one of the strongest teams in the Premier League, and it is hard to see the Red Devils drop all three points against Newcastle.

The Magpies could play a defensive style of football against United, but it is unlikely to stop United from scoring.

Playing at home will give Mourinho’s side an advantage, and it will be a surprise if they fail to win against the Magpies.

United have lost just one of their last 32 league games against Newcastle at Old Trafford (W22, D9), according to BBC Sport.
