Everton and Tottenham Hotspur will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has predicted in The Sun that Tottenham Hotspur will win against Everton this weekend.

Tottenham will take on Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Former Arsenal striker Wright has backed Spurs to pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 3-2 victory.

The former England international has also backed Tottenham striker Harry Kane to score the opening goal of the match.

Kane, who has won the Premier League Golden Boot award for the past two seasons, has yet to find the net in the league this season.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman at a press conference at Goodison Park on July 10, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

“This promises to be a great game and it’s the tale of two contrasting international breaks,” Wright wrote in The Sun.

“Spurs saw the likes of Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane and Dele Ali pick up some form and confidence during the break, while Wayne Rooney hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

“Wayne is the king of ‘bouncebackabilty’, however, and this is exactly the kind of game that he will look to use silence the naysayers.

“The only way that he can get people onside again is to put on a show so he’ll be bang up for it in front of the Goodison faithful.

“Fortunately for Spurs, Kane is now up and running and I can see him going on a long scoring run now.

“I’d back him to get the opener at 4/1 and I fancy goals in this game so I’m calling a 3-2 away win at 28/1.”

Mauricio Pochettino, manager of Spurs looks on prior to the Pre-Season Friendly match beween Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus at Wembley Stadium on August 5, 2017 in London, England.

Both Everton and Tottenham are attack-minded teams and there should be a few goals, but it is hard to see five at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs have arguably the best defensive unit in the Premier League, and it is difficult to imagine the North London outfit concede twice at Goodison Park.

Will Everton ship in three goals at Goodison Park? Probably not.
