Aston Villa and Sheffield United will face each other in the Championship this weekend.

West Ham defender Tony Gale challenges Ian Wright of Arsenal during the FA Premiership match at Highbury on April 30, 1994 in London, England.

Ian Wright has predicted in The Sun that Aston Villa will fail to win against Sheffield United this weekend.

Villa will take on United at Villa Park in the Championship on Saturday evening.

Former Arsenal striker Wright has predicted that game to end in a draw, stating that it will finish 1-1.

Chris Wilder Manager of Sheffield United looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield United at Loftus Road on October 31, 2017 in London,...

Wright wrote in The Sun: “It’s 5th against 6th in the Championship and both sides could do with a win after coming off the boil in recent weeks.

“The Blades have won just one of the last 10 meetings but with this the first clash in three years the stats are not an accurate barometer.

“It’s getting congested in that chasing pack, with Wolves out in front and everyone else trying to keep pace and I have a feeling that a draw would suit both sides.

“United have scored in two of their last three on the road, so I fancy a score draw here and my gut says this one will finish 1-1.”

Villa manager Steve Bruce reacts after a near miss during the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Middlesbrough at Villa Park on September 12, 2017 in Birmingham, England.

Villa will head into the match against United on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Derby County away from home at the Pride Park Stadium in the Championship.

The Villans are fifth in the league table at the moment with 37 points from 22 matches. Steve Bruce’s side are doing well at the moment and look set to claim a playoff spot.

United have been one of the surprise packages of the season and are going great guns in the Championship.

The Blades are currently sixth in the standings with 37 points from 22 matches and will fancy their chances of winning at Villa Park.

Given the way United have performed this season, it should not really come as a surprise if they win against Bruce’s team on Saturday evening.
