Ian Wright has taken to Twitter to react after Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat to Unai Emery’s Villarreal in the Europa League.
The Gunners legend shared his reaction in the form of a photo, one that spoke volumes about how he felt after the loss.
You can see what Wright tweeted below.
We can understand why he might be upset.
However, there is plenty to be optimistic about.
Nicolas Pépé’s penalty means Arsenal have a vital away goal to their name, so even a 1-0 win at the Emirates Stadium would see them through to the final.
That result is certainly achievable, and Mikel Arteta could also have some vital options back for the season-defining clash.
Kieran Tierney, David Luiz and Gabriel Magalhães could all be back in contention, as too might Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Ideally, the Gunners would’ve won the first leg in Spain, and made life easier for themselves back in north London.
However, that wasn’t the case, although it isn’t the end of the world.
Arsenal now have a week to prepare themselves for the massive second leg clash, and work to ensure the aforementioned first-team stars get fit.
This tie is far from over.

Arsenal fans should know from Emery’s time at the Emirates Stadium that he’s far from a defensive genius.
The Spaniard’s sides tend to be quite open, so scoring once is extremely doable for the north Londoners.
Wright may be feeling down now, but knowing him and his positive outlook, he’ll surely find reasons to be optimistic ahead of Thursday.
