Ian Wright says Tottenham Hotspur managerial target, Thomas Frank, is a ‘brilliant coach’ and someone who gets the ‘very, very best’ out of Brentford and his players.

Antonio Conte is currently in the Tottenham dugout, but there is a lot of talk about who is going to replace the Italian in the summer.

One name that has been thrown about is that of Thomas Frank, who is punching above his weight at European-chasing Brentford.

The Bees are sitting ninth in the Premier League table and they are remarkably six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, with two games in their pocket – the Dane has been linked to the Tottenham job with noise around Conte’s future.

There is every chance that they can get European football this term, and if they do, then it will only enhance Frank’s reputation even further.

Nonetheless, Ian Wright spoke about Brentford boss Thomas Frank and Fulham manager Marco Silva and the jobs that they are doing, as he told Premier League Productions (06/03/23 at 7:35 pm).

“I think, both of them (Marco) Silva and (Thomas) Frank,” said Wright. “They are brilliant coaches and they get the very, very best out of their teams.”

TOTTENHAM AND THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Spurs host Italian giants AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night and they will be looking to overturn a one-goal first-leg deficit.

This is big for Spurs because they are heading down a road where a lot of things can go wrong in the summer.

From Conte and Harry Kane leaving to no Champions League football next term. If all of those happen, then it will put them in a difficult position when bringing in players and possibly finding a new manager.
