Ian Wright told ITV Sport ‘people develop when they develop’ as he was making reference to one-time Arsenal star Serge Gnabry scoring once again for his country.
On Sunday, the German’s recorded a 1-0 win against Romania in their World Cup qualifier with Gnabry getting on the scoresheet – his 15th in 19 games for his country.
Every time Gnabry does something special, and it’s a pretty common occurrence now, Arsenal, and a certain Tony Pulis, will be reminded regularly about the Bayern Munich star, who left England for his homeland for £5 million in 2018. (Daily Mail).
Gnabry did have injury problems during his days at Arsenal, and not many predicted such a rise for the trickster.
But he has seemingly proved a lot of people wrong, as Wright shared his brief thoughts on the speedster.
“People develop when they develop,” said Wright. “When their time comes. It was a time when he was at Arsenal and he got injured.”

Everyone is wiser after something has taken place and it’s easy to say now that Arsenal got it wrong in selling Gnabry when he wasn’t performing whilst on their books.
When you are sent back by a certain Tony Pulis at West Brom then you have to ask yourself questions, but it’s a simple case of Gnabry not being ready five years ago, but pretty much well-oiled up and firing now.
If Gnabry didn’t produce after leaving the Emirates, not many would have asked questions about what has happened to him, but the rising star should be praised for how he has picked himself up from the floor, no doubt.
