Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live’s 606, Wright said he believes Monk deliberately stepped into Wagner’s path, sparking the confrontation.
He said: “Garry Monk definitely knew what he was doing.”
Responding to Monk’s comments after the game, Wright said: “Garry Monk’s statement sounds great, professional, sounds right, but how about you show some class, and don’t step in his way? Tell him afterwards instead of bumping into him. It could have been avoided.”
