Ian Wright raved about Everton and England international striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin on ITV (7:45pm, October 8, 2020).
The former Arsenal and England international striker has a theory why Calvert-Lewin is scoring goals for fun at the moment.
Wright believes that with the new signings that Everton have made and the way the team are playing under manager Carlo Ancelotti, it is becoming easier for the 23-year-old to score.
Wright said about Calvert-Lewin on ITV (7:45pm, October 8, 2020), as transcribed by The Liverpool Echo: “Goals, the goals he’s added to his game. You think of all the times they were talking about how they have to replace Lukaku, they didn’t do it, but all of that time, he’s been playing in the team.
“People are constantly saying he doesn’t score enough goals, he doesn’t link-up well enough. Now you’ve got James Rodriguez with him, Richarlison with him, Allan and Doucoure – and you’re getting the ball into the place where he does his best work.
“He’s one-touch finishing in the box, because the ball’s going in there all of the time. He’s got a team that knows he’s up there and he’s going to score.”

According to WhoScored, Calvert-Lewin has scored six goals in four Premier League matches for Everton so far this season.
The 23-year-old has also scored three goals in two Carabao Cup ties for the Toffees this campaign, according to WhoScored.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the young striker scored 13 goals and provided one assist in the league for the Merseyside club, while back in 2018-19, he scored six goals and provided two assists in 19 league starts for the Toffees, according to WhoScored.
Memorable England debut
Calvert-Lewin made his debut for the England senior side on Thursday evening, as the striker lined up against Wales at Wembley Stadium in London in the friendly international.
It was a debut to remember for the 23-year-old, as the youngster scored a goal in the 3-0 win for the Three Lions.
