Tottenham Hotspur are edging closer to securing Champions League football for next season.

Ian Wright has stated that he expects Tottenham Hotspur to finish in the top four following their 1-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday evening, especially given the form of Arsenal and Manchester United.
The former Gunners striker also stated that Spurs can’t help but have their Champions League clash against Ajax on their mind because it is the biggest game of their season.
On Tuesday evening, Mauricio Pochettino’s side left it late as they recorded a valuable three points at home to Chris Hughton’s men with Christian Eriksen scoring an 89th-minute winner.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (23/04/2019 at 10:00 pm), Wright offered his verdict on the top four race and why he now expects Tottenham to remain in their current position,
“You kind of look at the way Spurs are playing and you don’t really feel like there’s too much of a problem with them finishing in the top four,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live. “Obviously, they have to secure it because they have to unbelievable games coming up against Ajax which I am sure is on there mind.
“They can’t help but be like that. It’s the biggest game some of them are ever going to play in. I don’t expect Tottenham to not be amongst it with Arsenal or Manchester United with the way that they are playing, at the minute.”

Third-placed Tottenham are four points ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal, who travel to Wolves on Wednesday night knowing three points will be needed to close that gap.
At this moment in time, Chelsea, who recorded a 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday night, occupy the final Champions League spot, but they will be leapfrogged if Arsenal get at least a point in the Midlands.
