Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers are aiming to challenge Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic this season.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Rangers are playing well at the moment, with new manager Steven Gerrard yet to suffer his first competitive defeat in charge of the Gers.
Celtic remain the strongest team in the Scottish Premiership, but the Glasgow giants are not having a great time.
The Hoops lost in the Scottish Premiership this past weekend, while they also missed out on John McGinn to Aston Villa, as reported by BBC Sport.
The future of Dedryck Boyata is also wrapped up in uncertainty, with The Daily Record reporting of interest from Sevilla and Lazio in the Belgium international defender.
Former Celtic striker Wright, though, does not think that Rangers can topple the Bhoys this season.
Wright said on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 live on Monday evening (8:54pm, August 13, 2018) when asked if Rangers can topple Celtic: “No, no, no because Celtic are so way in front.”

Exciting season
Celtic remain the best team in Scotland, and it is hard to see Rangers win the Scottish Premiership title ahead of them.
However, it is clear that Rangers will give the Hoops a run for their money this campaign.
