Tottenham striker backed to threaten Premier League goalscoring record.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has backed Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to come close to breaking Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record.
Kane has won the Premier League’s golden boot in each of the last two seasons and is currently the joint-highest scorer in the division this campaign, level with Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero on eight goals.

Shearer scored 260 Premier League goals across his spells at Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United and Wright feels that Kane, who has scored 86 goals in the top flight so far, can get close to the record.
As reported by the Premier League’s official website, Wright said: “He’s a goal monster, he wants to score, every single attempt he has on goal.
“If he stays in the Premier League, I believe that he will run Shearer very, very close.”

Should Kane stay in England then it does seem very likely that he could get near and perhaps even break the record, especially when it is taken into consideration that at the age of 24 he still has the majority of his career ahead of him.
Kane has demonstrated that he is capable of scoring goals from all manner of different angles, while he has combined to excellent effect with the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen at Tottenham.
This weekend Kane will be aiming to add to his Premier League tally when Tottenham return to action with a trip to face rivals Arsenal.
