Arsenal legend Ian Wright delivered his prediction for Spurs’ FA Cup clash with Fulham tomorrow, when speaking on The Sun Goals podcast, and explained why he thinks Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be in for a tough afternoon at Craven Cottage.

Tottenham have suffered back-to-back defeats in two separate competitions over this past week, and will be hoping to avoid a third, with their side currently low on confidence and seemingly bereft of the energy they had earlier on in the campaign.

They will be desperate to return to winning ways against the Cottagers tomorrow, although that will be easier said than done.

Slavisa Jovanovic’s men are in the midst of a fine run of form, having won four of their last five outings in all competitions.

And Wright, who scored 185 goals for Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal, explained how Tottenham’s strength in depth could prove to be a pivotal factor in the game tomorrow, when speaking on The Sun Goals podcast:

“You give them a little bit of hope given the fact that they’re playing at home and they’re playing well. Spurs have come off a couple of not very good performances by their standards. I thought the Wycombe game was a brilliant game. It will be a tight game but Tottenham have players in reserve who can come off the bench and win the match for them… This is a great opportunity for Spurs to win a trophy. I’m going to go for Spurs to win it.”

Much will depend on the strength of the XI that Pochettino selects to play, but after their last two losses, he must surely pick the strongest side he has available to him.

The game kicks off tomorrow at 14:00 and can be seen live on BBC 1.
