Ian Wright has shared his thoughts on ex-Chelsea midfielder Jorginho and Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard after their 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Sunday.
Back in January, Jorginho left Chelsea in the hope of winning the Premier League title at their London rivals, but as Wright pointed out, he ‘struggled’ against Robert De Zerbi’s men, as he told PL Productions (14/05/23 at 6:40 pm).
The Gunners were outclassed from back to front yesterday, as that defeat all but ends their hopes of becoming champions of England.

Unless Manchester City, who have won 11 games on the bounce, have the collapse of all collapses, then by the weekend, they could be title winners again.
All of this will be heartbreaking for those in north London because, for so long, they were sitting at the top of the tree.
But, in a game that could have kept the pressure on Man City, Wright spoke about how their two key midfield players, Jorginho and Martin Odegaard, struggled.
“Odegaard couldn’t get into the game, even Jorginho was struggling to get into the game, with the way Brighton pressed and just made everything so uncomfortable,” said Wright.

MIXED START FOR JORGINHO AT ARSENAL AFTER CHELSEA EXIT
Whilst Arsenal fans will be feeling down about how the season is ending, it’s not as bad as what’s happening at Chelsea because they are heading towards a bottom-half finish.
From that perspective, it was easy for Jorginho to leave Stamford Bridge and move to the Emirates, but it has been a mixed start for the Italy midfielder.
Life started with a defeat to Everton, whilst he scored a last-minute winner at Villa and also secured three points against his former side. But it’s going to end with a second-place finish.
