Simone Zaza wasted a glorious chance for West Ham United to wrap up the match at White Hart Lane.
Ian Wright has told Match of the Day, which was broadcast on BBC One on 19th November, that Simone Zaza was largely to blame for West Ham United’s defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
Zaza was introduced as a late substitute in the match, and he had a wonderful opportunity to seal the match for West Ham.
With Slaven Bilic’s side 2-1 up, Tottenham were piling men forward, which was leaving spaces on the break for the Hammers.

And Zaza was presented with the perfect opportunity to play Dimitri Payet through on goal late on in the contest.
However, the Italian striker delayed his pass to Payet, and in the end the Frenchman could not get a shot off.
The move petered out into nothing, and it proved costly for West Ham, as Spurs staged a late comeback.

Tottenham scored twice in the final stages of the match through Harry Kane to seal the three points.
And Wright said: “You look at West Ham and the quality players that they have got. And they should have done more.
“There was a big moment with Zaza. He takes too long to give him the ball. That’s 3-1. He’s another player who is struggling to come to terms with the Premier League.”
West Ham’s defeat means that they are now just one point above the relegation zone, after a poor start to the campaign.
