Arsenal legend Ian Wright suggested on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (8:20pm, November 12, 2018) that Tottenham Hotspur will not win the Premier League title this season.

Tottenham are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 27 points from 12 matches, just five points behind leaders Manchester City.

Former Arsenal striker Wright does not think that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will win the league title this season.

“Yes,” said Wright on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (8:20pm, November 12, 2018) when asked if he is ruling Tottenham completely out of winning the Premier League title this season.

Challenging for the Premier League title

City and Liverpool have been the two best teams in the Premier League so far this season and are going strong at the moment.

Pep Guardiola’s side and Jurgen Klopp’s team are still unbeaten in the league, and it is clear that they are the teams to beat.

Tottenham do not have as good players as City have, but the North London outfit are going quietly about their task.

If Spurs continue to pick up points like they are doing right now and strengthen their squad in the January transfer window, then they could maintain their challenge for the Premier League title throughout the season.
