Arsenal legend Ian Wright has suggested on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 live on Monday evening (7:47am, March 4, 2019) that Tottenham Hotspur fans should get behind Kieran Trippier.

Trippier is an important player for Tottenham, but the 28-year-old right-back has been struggling in recent weeks.

The England international defender has lost his form, and, according to talkSPORT, he has been left out of the Tottenham squad for their Champions League trip to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening.

Former Arsenal striker Wright has suggested that the former Burnley star needs support from the Tottenham fans.

Wright said about Trippier on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 live on Monday evening (7:47am, March 4, 2019): “To watch the way it’s working out for him at the minute with his loss of form and the fact that he is getting so much stick, it’s really sad to see.

“And he is again another player, a real top player, I would like to see the Spurs fans get behind him. You could see him the other day literally, we are talking about one of the best crossers of the ball, we have seen what he is capable of, we watched him literally just going into his shell against Arsenal the other day.

“I was desperate for us to win it, but it was really sad to see the amount of stick he was taking and watch him play that poorly. I hope he gets out of that soon.”
