Matt Ritchie was in action for Newcastle United against Leicester City in the Premier League this past weekend.

Ritchie featured for Newcastle in their Premier League game against Leicester at St. James’ Park this past weekend.
The 29-year-old winger started the match and played for 65 minutes, as the Magpies lost 2-0.
Some Newcastle fans at St. James’ Park jeered manager Benitez’s decision to take off Ritchie, as reported by The Chronicle – and former Arsenal striker Wright has suggested that the ex-Liverpool boss should have kept the Scotland international – who earns £45,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – on the pitch.
Wright said about Ritchie on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (7:46pm, October 1, 2018): “I would probably be disappointed if I was a Newcastle fan seeing him come off because he looked like somebody who was continuously up for the battle.”

Stats
Ritchie has made six appearances in the Premier League so far this season, and has not scored or provided a single assist, according to WhoScored.
During the 2017-18 campaign, the Scotland international winger scored three goals and provided five assists in 32 Premier League starts for the Magpies, according to WhoScored.
