Naby Keita has yet to score for Liverpool in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright suggested on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (7:20pm, March 4, 2019) that Liverpool central midfielder Naby Keita should be scoring more goals.

Keita has made 12 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season, according to WhoScored.

The Guinea international has provided one assist and has yet to score in the league this campaign, according to WhoScored.

During the 2017-18 campaign, the 24-year-old scored six goals and provided five assists in 27 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig, according to WhoScored.

The central midfielder also scored two goals in the Europa League and provided two assists in the Champions League for Leipzig last season, according to WhoScored.

Former Arsenal striker Wright has suggested that Keita should have score more goals for Liverpool by this point of the season.

Wright said on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (7:20pm, March 4, 2019): “Keita, we are expecting a lot more from him. In his last season at Leipzig, he had nine goals and seven assists.

“Klopp has brought him in, and he might have thought he might have nicked a few more goals up to this point.”

Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 70 points from 29 matches, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.
