Ian Wright has claimed that Heung-Min Son is also ‘world-class’, alongside his Tottenham teammate, Harry Kane, as he told Premier League Productions (26/02/22 at 2:40 pm).

The Premier League legend was wowed by how Son took his goal during Tottenham’s 4-0 thrashing of Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday.

Not only did Son get on the scoresheet, but he also created Premier League history, alongside Kane in Yorkshire.

The duo combined for the 37th time of their careers in England’s top-flight – a record no-one has bettered since 1992.

Nonetheless, Wright was full of praise for Spurs’ performance at the weekend and what Son and Kane brought to the table.

“They are two world-class players, for me,” said Wright. “Tottenham, in that mood, playing against that opposition, there was only ever going to be one winner.

“That touch (for Son’s goal) is underestimated, Son’s touch, look how well he has taken that. That’s on his thigh! That’s class. That’s world-class.

“It’s brilliant, they could have scored another four. They could have scored so many more, that’s how many chances they created. Brilliant. They deserved it.”

Tottenham fans will be screaming at Daniel Levy to back Antonio Conte in the summer because they have players in Son and Kane who need the help.

Slowly but surely, that team that thrived under Mauricio Pochettino is slowly fading away, with only very few players remaining from that era.

This is where Levy needs to back the man in the dugout and bring in new stars to take them forward, as he did with Cristian Romero in the summer.

But whether that happens or not is still up for debate because there is still a cloud of worry when it comes to those running Tottenham.
