Ian Wright was full of praise for Raphinha and Luke Ayling on Match of the Day after they helped Leeds secure a thumping 5-0 win over West Brom on Tuesday night.

In yet another display of ruthless and non-stop attacking football, Leeds put another Premier League side to shame with their relentless forward-thinking style.

Raphinha has been one of Leeds United’s standout performances this season and the £17 million man has really taken to life in England’s top-flight.

Wright made it pretty clear that there are more expensive players who have been purchased in his position in the Premier League, but they cannot do some of the things he produces out on that pitch.

“I love them,” said Wright. “They are a joy to behold.

“Raphinha from Rennes for £17 million. You think to yourself when you look at some of the wingers in this league that cost a little bit more than him and they aren’t doing half the things he’s doing.

“And Ayling was absolutely fantastic for Leeds as well. They are really getting a good tune out of it.”

After conceding six at Old Trafford, Leeds have since recorded back-to-back clean sheets and shut up their critics who felt that they were to adventurous going forward.

Whilst Leeds will still have their days where they will concede four or five, they will also dish out the punishment to others and ensure heavy defeats don’t affect their performances.

After back-to-back wins, Leeds will now be hoping to string a strong set of results together as they take on Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham.
