Liverpool have been linked with a number of attackers – and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe is one of them.
The Reds have a fearful front line already, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino causing mayhem under Jurgen Klopp.
However, one more option would be ideal. Divock Origi has scored important goals, but a bigger threat to rotate in and out would make Liverpool even better.
Timo Werner and Milot Rashica have been linked, but fans have been left hugely excited by the speculation surrounding Kylian Mbappe.
Le10 Sport reported last month that Jurgen Klopp had contacted Mbappe’s father to discuss a move to Anfield, and they now claim that Mbappe is ‘very flattered’ by Liverpool’s interest.
It’s ultimately an unlikely deal now. The global pandemic means Liverpool will have to spend carefully, almost certainly ruling out a big-money Mbappe bid for now.
PSG paid £166million to sign Mbappe, so he won’t come cheap. Maybe Liverpool can land him in the future, but it’s hard to see it happening this summer.

Now, pundit Ian Wright has told the Match of the Day Top 10 podcast that he thinks Liverpool are now ‘at that level’ to sign a big name like Mbappe, and can see a move happening – even though Klopp may have to juggle his attackers.
“You could see Mbappe, at the moment, at Liverpool. You can definitely see that,” said Wright.
“If we’re talking about it now, I could see Mbappe at Liverpool but where would he fit into? I think Liverpool are at that level where Mbappe could go to,” he added.
