Chelsea will face Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this weekend.
The former Arsenal striker believes that Chelsea will win the London derby against Tottenham 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Wright has also backed Spurs star Son Heung-min to score the opening goal in the Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.
The 25-year-old South Korea international, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, has scored 12 goals and provided four assists in 22 Premier League starts for Spurs so far this season.
Wright wrote in The Sun: “I think Son looks a good bet at 6/1 to open the scoring given his current form and a draw wouldn’t be the worst result for Spurs here.
“As I say though I can see Chelsea turning the heat up on Spurs in the race for a Champions League berth and the 15/2 on a 2-1 win for Conte’s boys is my pick of the results.”
Tough to call
Tottenham are in good form at the moment, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side will fancy their chances of winning against Chelsea.
A draw at Stamford Bridge would not not exactly be a bad result for Spurs, but for Chelsea to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, Antonio Conte’s side need to pick up all three points.
Tottenham are fourth in the league table at the moment, while Chelsea are currently fifth in the standings.
